A return to writing
I used to write a lot — a journal, a blog, my mind was always brimming with curious language I felt compelled to capture. When I look at the dates on some of my former posts, I am astounded at how quickly time moves, and how long I have been quiet with this pursuit. Life really moves fast, and it takes not only time, but an open vulnereability to share your thoughts with the internet.
While I was working on breaking into tech, I felt so much self-awareness. Writing well requires honesty. To create interesting things you need to expose yourself, thoughts, fears, shames. And I've been holding my cards clost to my chest the past few years, a bit leery of disclosing anything untoward.
But lately, as I stare down the black hole of the dawn of AI, and I watch it cannibalize our capacity for thinking through problems, I feel compelled to write again — human generated content. I want to document and capture this fast-moving life as a way to archive one human's perspective in this beautiful, chaotic world. So I'm dusting off the old static site generator in an effort to open the portal for writing to flow.
